Edward S. Lichtenstein is the managing partner at Joseph, Lichtenstein & Levinson, a firm he has been associated with for over thirty years. Ed takes pride in the fact he has remained at the same firm his entire career. He began as an associate at the firm in 1977, became a partner in 1985, and the managing partner in 1990. Ed has concentrated his litigation practice representing individuals and families in the areas of Personal Injury, Automobile Collisions, Workers’ Compensation and Medical Malpractice. He is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association, Will County Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association. Ed has litigated cases in all Courts in the Chicago area and surrounding counties. A native of Chicago, Ed attended Loyola University of Chicago where he received his B.A. degree in 1974 and received his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 1977. During the course of his career Ed has handled many complex Workers’ Compensation cases which have resulted in substantial settlements or awards. He has also represented clients in lawsuits which have resulted in million dollar plus settlements for both medical negligence, personal injury and product liability. Professional Memberships:
Ed is active in continuing legal education seminars, both as a participant and as a moderator. He has lectured before physicians' groups on a wide variety of topics, the most recent of which involved medical liens and their relationship to the Illinois Workers' Compensation Act. Ed vonlunteers his services in support of the Ministerial Alliance, an organization of south suburban ministers whose mission is the improvement of the lives of the south suburban residents through feeding and educational programs. Ed spends a great deal of time in the south suburbs meeting with clients at the firm's Chicago Heights satellite office. He founded this office in 1978 and continues to meet with clients two evenings per week. Ed resides in the Will County area with his wife, where, along with the law, he pursues his interest in Tennessee Walking horses and horseback field trialing throughout the Midwest. |
